I have not completely been living in a cave. Yes, I'm aware that there has been a cupcake craze the past few years, although it seems hard to believe that a cupcake storefront could be a sustainable business model. That being said - holy cr@p -these are some good cupcakes. Let me say that my expectations were kinda low - yeah, so you bake a cake (a small one) and you put frosting on it. I got a Mt. Mitchell Chocolate and a Red Velvet cupcake that set me back $6. I got a couple of bites before the wolves (aka my kids) devoured them. I will now say it "they are too good for children" - do not waste them on your kids unless you have money like Kimye. Cake beyond cake - rich and moist and the frosting smooth and silky. Impressive.

Hey y'all!!! This review is going to be short and sweet, just like me. The best red velvet cupcake in the entire San Francisco Bay area can be found in Black Mountain North Carolina. No I'm not joking. Absolutely charming, absolutely delicious, and the proprietors are so incredibly friendly in that way that you just don't get in California. Cheers!

Minus the fact that I hate the name of this bakery--it was INCREDIBLE!!!! I have to say this cupcake was possibly one of the best I have had of its kind. I tried the pumpkin cream cheese cupcake and it was phenomenal. It was so moist but yet fluffy and full of flavor. The cream cheese icing was not too sweet but it complimented the cupcake very well. They were also giving away free samples of their margarita flavored cupcake and it had a very light and refreshing taste...which is hard to pull off in a cupcake but they did! The shop is small and the quantity seemed to be limited but I'm so glad I got to try this place. They are located in a great spot in the center of town.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SUPER YUM !!!! owned by two sisters ... they were SO MUCH FUN !!! we walked in and they were two cute sassy chicks with delicious cupcakes ... we enjoyed every bite !!!! you cant go wrong here ... getting your sweet tooth fix is a must at HEY HEY CUPCAKE if you are in black mountain.

Let me start by saying this place is just so cute! You can tell the two sister who run this joint work their booty off baking fresh batches all day! Oh and of course the cupcakes are to die for. My favorites were the Oreo, Bonita Margarita and the Baileys frosting one. I am from California and cupcake shops are the trend and on every corner- but non of them taste as good as Hey Hey! I highly recommend anyone in town to stop in and try a cupcake. They also do weddings and occasion cakes. If I were getting married and lived in the area this is the place I would go! So yummy and reasonable!
